Personal Project

Visual Resume

While this entire blog’s purpose is to serve as a portfolio/resume, I thought it would be beneficial to create a single post that summarizes most of my experience visually.

The type of work I like to pursue is Content Creation, Content Writing, and Social Media Management. Below are some examples of my work that relate to these career paths.

Please be sure to check out the hyperlinks (pink text) in this post for more information about each project!

MTSU Sidelines – Content Creation:

For my job as a designer for the school’s newspaper, I create graphic designs for stories that do not have an image to go along with them. I create these designs with Canva.

Yours Humanly – Social Media, Content Creation and Blogging:

I edit images with Adobe Spark for my position as a content creator for Yours Humanly, a nonprofit that focuses on worldwide access to education for children. This content is posted onto their various social media platforms.

My main work for Yours Humanly is creating visual content, but I do occasionally contribute to the nonprofit’s blog as well. Click the image below to read one of my blog posts and the rest can be found here.

yhMy piece on the problems with child marriage and how to prevent them.

MTSU Media Arts Department – Content Writing:

I was also a content writer for the MTSU Media Arts Department’s website for a practicum. I wrote stories on what was going on within the department in the different majors. Again, one is linked in the image below and the rest can be found here.

Black Pants Girl – Social Media:

View the guide in the link below.

In my Social Media course, I got to work with a business’s social media accounts to learn about analytics. I created a social media guide for them to reference for future posts and I also earned a Hootsuite Certification.

I am excited to add even more experience to my portfolio/resume as I continue to work towards my career goals!
